Pride and Prejudice (1995) Picspam
I was procrastinating (like usual) and decided to do a picspam of some of my favourtie Lizzy/Darcy scenes from the BBC adaption of Pride and Prejudice.
Lizzy/Darcy. Not Dial-up safe.

Elizabeth: For a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.

Mr Darcy: She is tolerable, I suppose. But she is not handsome enough to tempt me.
Bingley, I am in no humour to give consequence to young ladies who are slighted by other men.
Go back to your partner and enjoy her smiles. You're wasting your time on me.

Mr Darcy: Miss Bennet!
Elizabeth: Mr Darcy! I am come to enquire after my sister.
Mr Darcy: On foot?
Elizabeth: As you see. - Would you be so kind as to take me to her?
I really adore this scene because of Darcy's tiny smile and the way he seems to so admire her for being different.

Mr Darcy: I believe every disposition has a tendency to some particular evil
Elizabeth: Your defect is a propensity to hate everyone.
Mr Darcy: And yours is wilfully to misunderstand them.

Elizabeth: I believe we must have some conversation, Mr Darcy. A very little will suffice. - You should say something about the dance perhaps. - I might remark on the number of couples.
Mr Darcy: Do you talk by rule then when you are dancing?
Elizabeth: Yes, sometimes it is best. Then we may enjoy the advantage of saying as little as possible.

Colonel Fitzwilliam: I am delighted to make your acquaintance at last, Miss Bennet.
Elizabeth: At last, sir?
Colonel Fitzwilliam: Well, I have heard much of you and none of the praise has been exaggerated, I assure you.
Elizabeth: I can well believe that. Mr Darcy is my severest critic.

Mr Darcy: In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed.
You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.

Mr Darcy: And your parents are in good health? And all your sisters?
Elizabeth: Yes, they are all in excellent health, sir.
Couldn't have a picspam without the infamous white shirt scene.

Mr Darcy: I hope you are not displeased with Pemberley?
Elizabeth: No, not at all.
Mr Darcy: Then you approve of it? -
Elizabeth: Very much. I think there are few who would not.
Mr Darcy: Your good opinion is rarely bestowed, and therefore more worth the earning.

Elizabeth: It's a beautiful instrument, though.
Miss Darcy: My brother gave it to me. He is so good. I don't deserve it.
Elizabeth: I am sure you do. Your brother thinks you do, and as you know, he is never wrong

Elizabeth: When I think that I might have prevented it! I, who knew what he was. Had his character been known, this could not have happened. But it is all too late now.
Mr Darcy: I am grieved, indeed. Grieved, shocked. But is it certain? Absolutely certain?

Mr Darcy: You're too generous to trifle with me. If your feelings are what they were last April, tell me so.
My affections and wishes are unchanged. But one word from you will silence me on this subject forever.

"I am happier even than Jane; she only smiles, I laugh." Elizabeth (Chapter 60 - Pride and Prejudice)
The best love story ever told in my very humble opinion. I've read the book about 7 times and watched this TV adaption of it...like a few million times. It's so amazing and it never gets old.
Drop me a comment if you look at the pretty.
